Oman Sending 14 Teams to Gulf Youth Games in UAE
Muscat: Oman is gearing up to participate in the inaugural Gulf Youth Games (GYG) set to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from April 16 to May 2, 2024.
At a press briefing today, the Oman Olympic Committee announced that 133 athletes will proudly represent the nation at the event. These athletes will compete across 14 different sports, including sailing, football, golf, taekwondo, water sports, athletics, handball, volleyball, basketball, chess, fencing, table tennis, billiards, snooker, and equestrian sports.
Additionally, Oman will have a contingent of 11 referees taking part in the GYG tournament, ensuring fair play and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
